My name is Drew, and my wife Noelle and I bought a bus. Specifically a 1967 VW Type 2 Microbus.
I don’t really know anything about working on cars, but my plan is to learn everything I can while restoring my bus and converting it into a modern-style camper. Oh, and I don’t yet know how to drive a manual transmission… but I’ll figure it out as I go!
This blog is an attempt to capture some of our stories and experiences with this bus, while also providing a detailed log of the restoration process. I’m open to any and all advice, snippets of wisdom, comments, and criticism. Thanks!

Drew, where do you guys live (approximately)? I’m downtown Chicago doing my work on my Beetle in the parking garage of my condo building. Teaching myself as I go…reading John Muir’s book, watching Bug Me DVDs, etc. so fun!
